What is a Dental filling?

Dental filling is a therapy that is used to restore damaged teeth. The procedure restores the shape and function of the tooth in case of tooth decay (caries) or fractures.

The procedure begins with the removal of the damaged tooth tissue (with anesthesia), after which the tooth is cleaned and prepared for filling. Then a special substance is injected into the tooth, which hardens and restores the integrity of the tooth.
